It's been almost 2 years since I posted a journal entry, so much has happened. As you can tell from some of the pictures, my son has grown much older. He will be starting school this coming Monday! I'm so excited for him. I am anxious to see what this chapter of our lives will reveal. I just hope that this experience will help him develop his own personality and that he embraces only as much groupthink as is neccessary for healthy development.

This all means that I will have to reevaluate how I spend my time. I feel like someone has added 5 extra hours to my day! My Boyfriend has already noted how he would like to spend the "extra" time! As appealing as 25 more hours of sex a week sounds, realisticly, that is not going to happen. I am hoping that this time will bring down the creative fence hindering me as of late. Yea I say fence because it's not really a wall. Sometimes i can peer over or even hop over to the other side for a quick glimpse of inspiration. I need to find a muse, some inspiring music, a great movie, or even some new love.

It can be hard to stand out in the world of art with so much great work out there.
I was trying to think of a way that I could gain more exposure on DeviantArt, when it dawned on me!
Other people want to get their art noticed- as do I. So how could I offer you more exposure while gaining a little myself?

Thanks to everyone who took the time to enter into this contest. I have narrowed my favorites down to ten entries. The winner will be announced sometime during this week.


The contest has been so successful, I was thinking of hosting one once a month. Some dicussion of themed contests has been taking place also!

Thanksgiving is coming up, I am so not interested in the food, I haven't even the desire to prepare the menu. I am, however, looking foward to good times with family and friends. Nothing brings people together like a big bowl of Banana Pudding!
